No design. No code. Yet, a website built in just a few prompts. That’s what I’ve been up to this week, playing around with Aura, a platform making website building accessible to anyone.

To be fair, not really anyone. You kinda need to know your way around if you want to have a great result and not end up with something super generic. For the ones who’ve used Lovable extensively, you’ll feel just like at home.

Aura is currently powered by the latest version of Gemini Pro and is surprisingly fast at building web pages and animations with a very light and clean HTML code. Not react, not I-dont-know-what-language, pure HTML. Powered with clean javascript for animations, it makes it ultra reliable and lightweight.

Far from wanting to go in the technical details, I would rather want to show what’s possible. I’ve made two videos this week to present the tool and how I use it, alongside releasing three templates I have vibe coded. Yeah, been quite obsessed, I will admit.

In this first video, I make a quick introduction about Aura and how I use it for my multi page template, Blazecard.

On this second video, more detailed, I build together with you a page on a new template, showing my prompt technique and how I link my pages together.

This new template comes in two parts: Nebula Core, the free version that you can remix here and get started with, and another one coming later this week, Nebula Max, featuring multiple pages.

I think every designer or tech person should give a try to Aura. Especially if you’ve tried Lovable. And to be clear, I didn’t build Aura itself but I’m affiliated with them. I loved the product so much I really wanted to partner with Aura and offer great templates to the community, because I believe it is the future of web design, at least for entry-level websites. The ones we, designers, have made a hundred times.

As always, AI leaves space to us for more ambitious project. This is where our expertise is really valuable. Those simple sites that we could build previously ourselves on Framer or Webflow might now be done vibe coding.

And what’s wrong with that? It still takes quite some expertise to get it right and will require talented people to do it. It’s the same delivery, but done on a different software, that’s it. Better discover and learn it now and be ahead of the curve!
