Think of it as a legal marketplace where you can search, compare, and review lawyers the way you’d look up restaurants.
Today, the platform features nearly 10,000 profiles in Norway and has expanded to Switzerland, Denmark, and California. For me as CEO, this project has been more than a product. It’s been a turning point in my career. It gave me the chance to dive into the craft of design—not just how things look, but how they work to drive results. Early on, I learned how to merge business thinking with design decisions, using data, SEO, and conversion optimization to build something that actually moves the needle.
Evolution
The next step is clear: expansion. My goal is to grow The Lawyer Guide into new countries, building a team that can develop and support this growth. That means relying on talented people who bring both expertise and perspective. One of them is Guidione Machava, who I collaborate with closely on UX design and the strategic approach for the U.S. market.
For the U.S. launch in San Francisco, the strategy is not to simply copy the Norwegian model, but to rethink the product from the ground up. That includes tailoring SEO and content for a massive, fragmented market, integrating compliance and payments into the user experience, and preparing for AI-first features.

Design, UX, SEO & CRO
What made The Lawyer Guide challenging is also what made it rewarding.

The Lawyer Guide allowed people to submit a legal request and let the system forward their request to the best suited lawyer for them.
Organising 10,000 profiles
A huge legal database had to feel simple. We structured over 60 expertises into clear categories, filters, and fast search—even with thousands of results. Two audiences, one platform
The interface had to serve both regular people looking for help and lawyers managing their profiles. We split navigation, designed tailored dashboards, and made sure both sides had a clear path to their goals.Core user flows
Finding a lawyer, writing a review, and submitting a lead needed to be effortless. Step-by-step forms, microcopy, and sticky CTAs kept things smooth and confusion-free.Multi-country flexibility
Different countries meant different copy, regulations, and data sources. We built a design system with adaptable components that could shift without breaking layouts.Design + CRO
A/B tests on page layouts, CTAs, and review placements steadily increased conversions while keeping the interface clean and trustworthy.

The Search Feature of The Lawyer Guide has been central since its launch in 2020

And Now?
Today, The Lawyer Guide is trusted by thousands and continues to grow every month. The platform has already proven itself across multiple countries, and the U.S. expansion is the next chapter.
What excites me most now is integrating AI features—to make finding legal help even faster, simpler, and smarter.
The journey shows what I believe deeply: design isn’t just about moving pixels. It’s about combining strategy, structure, and details into something that scales across borders. Every small choice—flows, SEO, dashboards, compliance—adds up. That cumulative effect is what makes The Lawyer Guide stand out.
